FACT

8 times more young people die from solvent abuse than from illegal drugs.

In 1995 the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) reported that, ‘VSA is, for certain ages, a bigger killer than leukemia, pneumonia and drowning combined, and that, for certain ages, it constitutes a significant proportion of all deaths'.

I was shocked that my own son and 2,000 other children have died from Solvents (Glue Sniffing) most people would have just walked away But I wanted to do something for all the mothers and fathers out there who lost their children .

Anne Syczynski I am happily married and have 3 children whom I am very proud and we all stay in Star of Markinch. I work within the community as a Nursery Nurse with the health visitors, a job I enjoy very much.

I am the sister to John, the Founder of the LOST organisation, and my roles are that of Treasurer and volunteer.

I have been with LOST since 2002 after the sad loss of my nephew Lee. I am very proud of the achievements LOST as a charity has built up over the years since the our sad loss, I also attended the Royal Garden Party in Edinburgh to meet Her Majesty the Queen in the year 2005 – hence the funny hat in the photo.
